CNY + Ox = RedBull???

January 26th, 2009

Its been kinda a busy yet boring week preparing for the Lunar New Year a.k.a Chinese New Year if you wanna be politically correct about it. Never the less, what done is done. Thank god my hometown is in KL so I do not need to go outstation or anywhere further than a 50km radius. I haets traffic jams.

Anyways, I would like to wish everyone a Happy Chinese New Year and Gong Xi Fa Cai!!!!! May you attain prosperity(even in this economic downturn it’s still not impossible) and plenty of good luck in this year of the Ox.

Oh, yeah…one more thing. I was attempting to do a last minute CNY theme for the site but as you can see its not going too well. Hopefully it’ll be better the next time around. Till I return from collecting money receiving blessings from around the place so I can repay my debts…urgh…bye bye. moo~~~

My new friend

January 12th, 2009

When Nicole a friend of mine I knew since foundation studies called me one day to say that she and another friend Christina had something to pass to me I was actually stunned for a little while. I mean what is there to pass to me? I did not borrow them anything nor did I ask them to do something for me. Curious I was. Anyway a few days later I finally had the chance (it was after one of my Christmas Carol performance and I had to rush to Cyberia at MMU to rush for an assignment…urgh) to visit them to see what was installed for me.

They gave me a big box wrapped in white mahjong paper. It was a present!!! For me!!! SWEET!!! Though it was tempting I told myself that I will only open it on Christmas Day since it was a belated birthday/Christmas present.

When I finally opened the present on Christmas Day….it was a looooooong white bunny rabbit!!! Cute.

Kicking myself in the groin

January 8th, 2009

Some people have been kicking me in the *bleep* recently due to my emotional state of mine recently to try to kill me cheer me up wake me up. Thanks guys whoever you are. I had been under a lot A LOT of shit lately and it all came crashing down on new years eve. An irony? I know. Exams, work, assignment, stupidity of some people around me, together with parts of my social life had played a part in screwing with me so if I’ve acted, behave, said or done some really silly stupid thing during that period of time. I apologize. Heck, I even had exams after that whole fiasco but thanks to a few especially my sis who help me pull through it…by giving me a good wake up call by giving me a mental slap.

I could write what she said but I’m too tired too but it hit a bell. She was right. Ever since I was little I was hardly praise or even appreciated for what I’ve done and it made an impact on my psyche. If fact it made me work even harder, to do my best and to give my all in whatever I was doing to change it but no matter how hard I try deep down I still felt like before. I realized that its now time for me to get my groove life the way it was meant to be. It was all in my head. I’ll do what I want and I never take no for an answer. I’m no longer gonna take things lying down. I’m never the sort of person to like taking a beating lying down anyways.

I’m gonna take this short break to clear my head and relax. Therefore, I’m gonna start writing again!(Wee~~~! All 10 of my readers can now rejoice!!!) I’ll need to redo a few post but it will be up soon so stay tune.

By the way, to those who do not like me because I’m too fucking EPIC/AWESOME….

FUCK YOU!!!!!!! (now how’s that for some self confidence? XD)

Comic Fiesta 2008

January 1st, 2009

I really should have posted this before January 1st but due to a very hectic and unforgiving schedule its only possible for me to post this up now. So without further ado here it is.

P/s: “this year” = year 2008 and not 2009. Remember, I cannot read the future nor take pictures of things that may come. XD

Comic Fiesta this year was held at the Sunway Pyramid Convention Center which was a massive venue if you compared it to the last one held at Time Square in 2007. This year I volunteered as one of Comic Fiesta’s photographer and damn it was fun. The Comic Fiesta committee this time around manage to get all 3 halls of the convention center which in all sense cost a bomb and it includes multiple arms, legs, and first born too i guess. The ticket price however was higher than last year with a 50% increase from RM10 to RM15 but I understand it is to cover up the cost lah.

There was about 80 doujin booths opened this time, 20 more than last year. The sponsor booth were many but some smaller sponsors were hidden away in the sides making it difficult to spot them. However it can be seen that the biggest sponsor was HP which obviously had the biggest booth there.

The quality of cosplayers this time was superb. Influence by Singaporean cosplayers? Well, it doesn’t really matter as this time there were many Singaporeans who came up to participate in this event. That goes to show how big this event had become after so many years. I was not there for most of day 2 of the event so I couldn’t see how the cosplay competition proceeded but I heard that the ‘cosplay battle chess’ method was removed entirely to the relieve of both cosplayers and visitors alike.

Due to legality I cannot post most of my event pictures up yet so you’ll have to be satisfy with some cosplay pictures instead. Look out for the last picture in the end. Its my best picture of the year and my favorite in more ways than one.

Pon Pon Patapon!!!

Looking through the looking glass

January 1st, 2009

Its been a hell of a year. So many things had happened that well made this year one of the most memorable in recent memory in both a good and a bad way. Although I would say that I did not achieved my resolution for this year its still was bountiful to say the least.

The beginning of the year was pretty normal with nothing interesting happening. Well maybe except the financial crisis blowing up. But in 2008 I….

created a blog on my own domain after thinking about it for so long…

revived a dead club….

made new friends…

got screwed over by group members…

learned a many definitions of stupidity and uselessness on a new level…

visited an orphanage (something I’ll usually never do cause it saddens my heart every time i see the kids)…

judged a cosplay event(thanks to Animax)…

appeared LIVE on a TV3 interview…

went on a trip to Singapore(technically overseas) after so many years…

attended a foreign ACG based event…

watched a live concert…

performed in a stage play at KLPac…

and last but not least I got to know a certain person but…..well…anyways, it truly was an eventful year and my prediction for 2009 is that it will be a busier year ahead with less time for myself and more time for everything else.

I just hope that this year will be kinder to me in all aspect. I’ve been through so much mental and physical torture that the end of 2008 has been painful indeed. Sigh….

I wish everyone a Happy New Year and may your wishes come through in 2009.
